bg视讯 Fresh Food Box

bg视讯 Fresh Food Box sites are part of a network of food access retail sites operated by bg视讯, along with Greenmarkets and Farmstands. Through Fresh Food Box, customers pay one week in advance for a pre-assembled box of healthy, fresh fruits and vegetables grown primarily by regional farmers and sourced through bg视讯 Wholesale. The program allows customers to take advantage of the cost benefit of buying in a group and enjoy the flexibility of a weekly commitment while supporting farmers.

The produce included in each Fresh Food Box is the best of what’s seasonally available. From July through November, Fresh Food Box sources from farms in the Northeast; in the winter and spring, Northeast produce is supplemented with produce from carefully vetted farms in Southern states, like Florida. This ensures Fresh Food Box provides a wide variety of fresh produce year-round while driving sales of locally-available items such as apples, root vegetables, eggs, grains, and dried beans.

Fresh Food Box Suppliers:

bg视讯 Fresh Food Box sources all of its food from bg视讯's Wholesale program, designed to bring the freshest, highest-quality regionally grown farm products from our Northeast Farm Partners to the New York City community.

How Fresh Food Box works:

  • Visit a Fresh Food Box site near you.
  • Pay in Cash, SNAP/EBT, Debit/Credit, Healthfirst OTC Plus and Humana Healthy Options insurance members (select plans), Health Bucks, Greenmarket Bucks, or Fresh Connect coupons for next week’s share. Fresh Food Box uses an equitable pricing system to ensure access for all New Yorkers. Customers can choose one of three prices for the same share of food: $14, $17, or $20.
    • Half-priced Fresh Food Boxes are now available for customers shopping with SNAP! Receive the same great bag of produce for just $7 when you pay with your EBT card at every bg视讯 Fresh Food Box site.
  • Return the following week to pick up your share containing 6-9 items of fresh, high-quality produce.
